What Makes BarCal Different

We are dedicated to elevating your experience with our electricians compared to what you have experienced before.

Here are a few of the ways that we believe will elevate your experience with BarCal Electric:

Safety

There is a big difference between minimum standards and best practices. A minimum standard is another way of saying anything less would be unsafe, so the minimum is barely safe enough. Best practices sometimes call for a higher quality product, process, or method to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

WOW!
(Warehouse on Wheels)

We stock our trailers with the most common items needed for service or repairs so we can complete most calls on the first visit. Our Warehouse on Wheels helps us get work done faster for you.

We install products of higher quality than those available at big box stores. We also use the newest, most innovative products, so you always get the best.

Professional

When we show up to your home, you will know who it is because our trailer is branded, our electricians wear BarCal gear, and we will always knock on your door, even if the work you hired us to do it outside.

Communication

We know that customers value communication. We will always do what we say we will do when we say we will do it, or we will tell you why we can’t. The bad news is never fun to give, but it is worse for everyone when hidden or minimized, so we never will. We will always be honest with you and tell you what we know.

Customer Service

Who wants to call a service company and get their voicemail? No one! We are committed to answering our calls, but even if we miss a call, we will make sure you hear from us the same day.

We talk with you at the beginning of the project to ensure we understand your wants/needs, explain our plan, and remain open to your input throughout the project to ensure we meet your needs.

Response Time

We know that you need help when you need it, so we build flexibility into our schedule to ensure we can be responsive to your needs.

Your calls will be answered by a real person, not a message, but we will respond on the same day if you get our voicemail.

Our Safety Best Practices

Electrician installing ceiling fan
A journeyman electrician can now start an electrical contracting business in Idaho, but we have a Master Electrician leading our team. This position requires at least four additional years of work as a Journeyman, at least 8,000 additional hours to gain appropriate experience, and passing a test to demonstrate an expert understanding of the National Electrical Codes (NEC) and best practices of the trade.
electrician troubleshooting a problem
A Master Electrician provides better problem-solving and troubleshooting, helps keep costs down by providing the right solutions to customers, and offers better employee training and code knowledge, meaning higher safety and project design. Master electricians historically design and supervise journeymen and review and list corrections to be completed by them. A Master Electrician led company is more prepared to provide real solutions and the best outcomes.
We permit every new circuit we install, combining our expertise with that of an inspector to ensure maximum safety.
